The selection of artist DVDs aims to make international works of video and media art history available for use. Alongside the indicated we have combined a well-founded publication with selected cinematic works by the respective artist. The DVD is complemented with information about the artist’s, their working methods, analysis of the film and extensive essays by renowned authors. These artistic positions are committed to the medium of film. 16 and 35mm productions have been transferred to DVD and HD formats, prepared to be published in this collection. No reproduction of an artistic film can do justice to the artist’s work. The DVD, nevertheless, sees itself as an attempt to do justice to the medium by reflecting on its prerequisites. |
